1. Tell us about your journey into real estate. What inspired you to become a real estate agent, and how has your experience been in Valencia’s dynamic market?
I come from a family that has been deeply rooted in the real estate industry for decades. After earning my bachelor’s degree in real estate from a renowned Dutch university, I immediately embarked on my real estate career. Right from the start, I have always sought out distinctive opportunities – not just typical properties but truly unique investment potentials. Valencia, unlike the more explored cities like Barcelona, Madrid, and Malaga, still holds countless hidden gems for investment. The city’s potential reminds me of Amsterdam in 1989 or Barcelona in 2001.
2. What differentiates you from other real estate agents? Are there particular services or expertise you offer that set you apart?
I don’t view myself as just another real estate agent looking to sell properties. Rather, I see myself as a real estate specialist dedicated to guiding clients throughout their entire journey. My deep interest in Valencia’s culture and my close ties with its local residents enable me to uncover the best and most hidden spots.
3. Valencia has a rich blend of history and modernity. How do you believe this influences the real estate market, and how do you navigate this unique blend when assisting clients?
Valencia exudes authenticity with its historic buildings and landmarks. This lends a genuine charm to the city, making both living and investing here feel like becoming a part of its rich history.
4. There’s a lot of buzz about Valencia becoming an investment hotspot. In your opinion, what makes it such an appealing destination for property investors?
Despite Valencia being behind cities like Madrid, Malaga, and Barcelona in terms of development, it possesses all the attributes to match or even surpass them. Valencia’s strategic location makes it a central hub for accessing all of Spain.
5. With the fluctuating global real estate market, how do you ensure your clients get the best value— whether they’re buying, selling, or letting properties?
The key to understanding Valencia’s potential is to immerse oneself in its environment. By living and experiencing the city around the clock, you truly get to know its ins and outs.
6. Could you highlight a success story or a particularly challenging transaction that you’re proud of, and what it taught you?
I don’t have just one success story. My satisfaction comes from aiding clients in realizing their dreams. Whether it’s helping them find their dream property, assisting them in building a diverse real estate portfolio, or seeing them reap significant profits – their happiness is my ultimate reward.
7. What trends are you currently observing in Valencia’s real estate market? Are there specific neighborhoods or property types gaining traction?
Valencia is a city in constant evolution. Its rapid growth is not just confined to the city center but also impacts the surrounding villages. Moreover, the influx of various nationalities into Valencia is reshaping its ambiance and influencing various neighborhoods.
8. For those new to Valencia or considering a move here, what advice would you offer in terms of property investment or settling in?
Surround yourself with knowledgeable individuals who can guide you to the areas or neighborhoods that align best with your aspirations.
9. Building trust is essential in real estate. How do you establish and maintain trustful relationships with your clients, ensuring they feel supported throughout their property journey?
The majority of my clientele have been with me for years. Rarely do I work with one-time clients; our relationship spans over numerous deals and many years. This longstanding trust is a testament to my integrity and reliability as a broker.
10. Looking ahead, where do you see the future of real estate in Valencia? What potential opportunities or challenges do you foresee, and how are you preparing for them?
Valencia is only just embarking on a transformative journey. Given its myriad of unique selling points, I firmly believe it will rise to prominence, rivaling cities like Malaga and Madrid.
